Visit Robb Farm

Thomas and Christine Betterly, Charlie Jr’s great/great grandparents, are the original proprietors of the farm.  Our large milking barn was moved to the farm from Halifax, Vermont, in 1912, and the farmhouse was built in 1914 by Isaac Robb; both are still in use today.  The farm is run by Charlie Jr, Karen, and Helen Robb with help from long-time family friends Taylor, who helps with the sugaring, and Heidi, who works in the store. Charlie and Karen’s children and other family members and friends also help keep the farm running. This makes the title of “Family Farm” very true.

On August 4, 2011, the then 105-year-old farm ended our multi-generational dairy operation by milking our last cow.  With leaving the milking business, we now focus strongly on our Maple Syrup production. We have even converted our old milkroom into a kitchen space to make our value-added maple products. We have diversified in many ways to keep our 400-acre farm operating, recently offering a beautiful outdoor event space.

From Interstate 91

• Exit 2 to Route 9 west.
• Approximately 1.5 miles, turn left at 7-Eleven Market onto Greenleaf Street.
• After about 1.5 miles, go straight onto a dirt road (Ames Hill Road).
• At the first corner, bear right; at the second corner, bear left.
• The farm is approximately 1 mile up on the right and only 3 miles from Route 9.
